It is a misconception that the path to success gets easier. It never will. You will intimately get better at what you do, but with each mountain you climb, there will be another one waiting for you to conquer .
My grandfather used to tell me that anything worth doing, wouldn’t come easy. I can attest to that, and it doesn’t just apply to youtube. It can be writing, getting married, moving to another country, or any aspect of life.
Now you might be reading this and feel intimidated, and I hope to alleviate those fears. Just because something is difficult doesn’t make it impossible. If you have it in your heart to do something then there won’t be anything that can stop you but yourself.
Of course this doesn’t mean that you will succeed right away. You could fail. You will fail. However if you are the type of person to learn from your failures and get back up and try again, then you will make it.
The great thing is, that when you do the feeling is amazing!
I accomplished a goal today! 40 subscribers, which is nothing to most people. However for 3 months I’ve hovered at 25-30. This month I put the goal of working to promote to get more views and subscribers, and it is working.
When I started this channel I did so on a whim, just to have something to do with my free time. While I don’t have money to show for it, I do have experiences.
I started Beer Mistresses, because I wanted to know more about Belgian beer. For the past 4+ months I’ve tried a new beer each week. This hobby has lead me to look out for specialty beer which lead me to a local beer shop. The people there are so kind and wonderful. You know what, I probably would have never meet them if I didn’t make the effort to try something outside of my comfort zone.
It doesn’t end there either. I’ve joined alot of FB groups in an effort to network and promote for youtube and this blog. This has lead to finding other bloggers, writers, and authors. All of whom share their advice and support in my endeavors.
I am part of a community that I didn’t even know existed. I am so grateful for it.
The truth is that Youtube/blogging/writing or anything else will ever be easy. What makes it manageable though are the people you meet along the way.
This one is dedicated to all my subscribes, followers, and stalkers.
